Maresias Surf Shop is the result of a dream combined with the need of a real Surf store, back in the 90's, when we had really muddy roads (way worst than now!),   a bank access once a week, no drug stores around, hundreds of monkeys crossing the road, a little market, only one shopping center and a lot of Tamarindo trees (where the name comes from).  We've had thousands of happy costumers as well as friends around the world. 

Don't forget Costa's slogan is PURA VIDA!!!! And we assure you we will show the real meaning of it.

We are the second surf shop established in Tamarindo, but the only one owned by a Costarrican and the first real store.  It started with a friend´s support, who came as a turist to surf, and then we realized, the town was missing a surf shop where the surfers could find everything they need to get the best out of the trip and not to ruin it when not finding an essential product to be able to surf and enjoy the WARM WATER.

Since 1998, we have gladly provided our thousands of customers with all they have needed to make the best of their trip, from a surf wax to surf lessons, surf trips and many tours around the country but specially with smiles as we Costa Rican people do it. And it´s always been our goal, to have happy customers by getting a quality product and the friendly service from our staff.

And then when i was just 19 years old, with the support from Dr. Fernando Morando, my family and the wisdom that God has blessed me with, a dream has come true.

We want to thank you for your support during all these years, it has not been easy, especially being a woman in this industry.  But here we are and now my brother Yeffrey is also in the company.  He learned how to surf in Salsa Brava, Puerto Viejo de Limón (Caribbean) and then he decided to move to the Pacific side, he can help you with tours, shuttles or anything in the Store.
