Witch's Rock Surf Trip

Located inside Parque Nacional Santa Rosa, Playa Naranjo is a long stretch of beach with an estuary at the northern end.  Runoff from the estuary creates ever changing bars which can make for good (sometimes excellent) peaks of either end of the estuary.  The left off the northern end of the estuary is usually the best wave on the beach.  When the estuary area is not breaking or it's just not good, you can go to "El Burro", like a 5 minute walk towards the south.  The water can get cold in the winter, Costa Rican summer (Dec - Mar), when the offshores blow all day long. 

The boat leaves from Playas del Coco around 6am, it takes about 1 hr to arrive from Playa Tamarindo and 1 and 1/2 hrs to get to Witch's.  There's a maximum of 5 people allowed on the boat.  Price without transportation it's $300 or with transportation $400.

Sportfishing

Tamarindo's Sportfishing offers you the best in world class sport fishing. The waters in front of Tamarindo are well known as one of the world's "hot spots" for a variety of species and we can put you on the action in a very short run time.

Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, Billfish, Rooster fish, Amberjack, Wahoo, Rainbow Runner, big Cubera Snapper, Grouper, Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Bigeye and Yellow fin Tuna.  These are fishes found in this area.  You can choose a full day or a half day, and we will arrange it for you!

White water rafting & Hot springs

Join us for a great day of rafting! Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests and fed by waters from the Poas volcano, the Toro river winds 13Km (about 9 miles) through the canyon filled with dramatic scenery and heart pumping excitement. The Toro River offers some of Costa Rica’s best white water with big waves, technical rapids and continuous whitewater. 

 Our journey begins leaving Tamarindo at 4am, and once we reach our destination, our trained/skilled guides will review the rules and safety guidelines for the river to familiarize yourself with your job as paddlers.  Snacks, lunch and dinner are included, and how about finishing our day with a visit to the relaxing and healthy hot springs!   Price $220 p.p.

Arenal Volcano

The growth of Arenal, which is the youngest and the most active volcano in Costa Rica, has been characterized by periodic major explosive eruptions at several-hundred-year intervals and periods of lava effusion that armor the cone. Volcan Arenal actual eruptive period began with a major explosive in 1968.  Continuous daily explotion eruption activity accompanied by slow lava effusion and the occasional emission of pyroclastic flows (avalanche of hot gases, rocks and ashes that can travel @ 80 km per hour) has occurred since then from vents at the summit and on the upper western flank.

A guide will pick you up at the hotel in a comfortable and air conditioning van.  Duration 15 hrs.

 Buena Vista Adventure & Canopy Tour

It's a place full of adventure and adrenaline complemented with the tranquility of the thermal waters, saunas and baths of volcanic mud in the primary forest located on the slopes of the Volcán Rincón de la Vieja.

Palo Verde National Park & Guaitil

Palo Verde National Park has an uniquely dichotomous character.  It’s simultaneously a spectacular wetland and one of the best examples of tropical dry forests remaining in the world.  This dual nature is a result of the Río Tempisque flooding over land located in a relatively arid climate region.

You will learn how the sugarcane is processed and turn into sugar.  And Guaitil is famous for its beautiful pottery.  Duration 7 hrs.

 Guanacaste, Liberia Airport transfer 

The prices for our 15 passenger vans are based on the driving time and distance between two points with a maximun of 4 passengers per van and their luggage. For any group larger than 4 passengers there will be a supplementary charge of $15 for each additional passenger and at no time will there be more than 10 passengers with luggage in a van.

But if you are traveling alone don't worry!  We also have shuttles from the airport for just $20 p.p.
